Synergy Renewable Energy Developments
WA’s energy system is changing.
We’re exploring, developing and expanding a fleet of solar and wind generation assets and large-scale battery storage systems.
Synergy Renewable Energy Developments Pty Ltd (SynergyRED) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Synergy, focused on delivering renewable energy projects to support the State’s Energy Transformation Strategy.
Since 2018, the SynergyRED team has provided vehicle and asset management and development services to Bright Energy Investments (BEI), Synergy and other customers and investors.
Together with our partners, SynergyRED are contributing to the reliability and stability of WA’s energy system as we transition towards a renewable energy future.
Who is SynergyRED?
Partnering with Bright Energy Investments
Bright Energy Investments is a proprietary limited company established in 2018 to build, own and operate utility scale energy projects. BEI is a joint venture between Potentia Energy and Synergy.
The current portfolio of BEI renewable projects at full production are displacing approximately 623,000 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions per annum, which is the equivalent of taking 210,000 cars off the road.

Our decarbonisation journey
-

Reducing carbon emissions
Developing and expanding wind and solar generation assets, as well as increasing energy storage capacity.
-

Retiring coal power stations by 2030
The State Government is retiring the, Synergy owned and operated, Collie and Muja coal-fired power stations. These will be replaced with large-scale wind and solar generation and battery storage systems.
-

Transition towards net zero carbon emissions
We’re working with our customers, industry participants and the WA Government to help transition to net zero carbon emissions, in line with 2050 emission reduction commitments.
-

Keeping the WA community at the heart of the energy transformation
The community is at the centre of all that we do and are the driver behind the energy transition. Through honest communication and involvement, we work to evolve the energy system in collaboration with the communities who are hosting renewable assets.
